Elton John suffered an eye infection in France last summer. As a result of the eye infection, Elton John had to lose vision in his right eye. "Unfortunately, I lost vision in my right eye in July because I had an infection in the South of France," he revealed.

The 77-year-old musician also disclosed that his left eye is not in very good condition. "It has been four months since I have been unable to see. And my left eye is also not in its best condition," explained Elton John.

Before the incident, Elton John had been preparing his new song project, which is currently in a state of uncertainty. The musician explained that he feels trapped in his current condition, making it difficult for him to work on his new music. Nevertheless, the singer of I'm Still Standing is trying to recover his right eye even though he has felt down. Elton John is grateful to still have the chance to live until now. "I am very lucky. I am the luckiest man in the world," he said.
