Director Matt Reeves has not clarified who will be in the cast of the second project THE BATMAN. Barry Keoghan admits that the Joker he portrays will resurface. This was revealed in a brief interview with EtalkCTV on Tuesday (12/12/23), when a reporter asked, “We heard that THE BATMAN II will start filming in the new year. Will we see you?”. Barry hesitated and replied, “I can't really say anything about that. But you know, it would be very exciting, wouldn't it? To see the Joker come back to life. My smile says it all, you know what I mean?” he said with a smile.

In the previous film, the Joker he portrayed was already a prisoner in Arkham. The details of the film and its cast are still uncertain, but fans understand that Batman's eternal enemy remains the Joker.

James Gunn also explained that the film THE BATMAN will be different from other DCU series. This sequel will be a standalone film and will be part of the DC Elseworld category.
