Iko Uwais Stars in The Expendables 4, Here's the Story of the Previous Three Sequels You Might Have Forgotten

This also means that Iko will be acting alongside world-class action actors like Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone. Iko himself is one of Asia's pride stars involved in this film, following Jet Li and Tony Jaa who also joined the fourth sequel of this film.

1. THE EXPENDABLES (2010)

THE EXPENDABLES premiered in 2010 and immediately achieved success. A lineup of legendary actors took on roles in this film.

THE EXPENDABLES begins when Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger) gives a mission to the mercenaries called The Expendables, led by Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone). The missions given by Trench include overthrowing the dictator leader of the country Villena. The mission becomes difficult as The Expendables have to rescue the dictator's daughter, who also dislikes her father's way of ruling the country.

2. THE EXPENDABLES 2 (2012)

Success with its first sequel, THE EXPENDABLES 2 becomes even more exciting with the addition of many new names. In addition to The Expendables army team, this second series becomes even more badass thanks to the presence of legendary actors Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, and young actor Liam Hemsworth.

THE EXPENDABLES 2 starts when Barney Ross cancels his retirement plans after receiving a mission from the CIA. This group of mercenaries becomes even more solid with the presence of a sharpshooter named Billy, played by Liam Hemsworth.

However, the mission becomes more difficult after Billy is killed right in front of the entire Expendables team. Full of vengeance, Barney Ross and his friends not only complete the mission, but also seek revenge against Billy's killer.

3. THE EXPENDABLES 3

Line up THE EXPENDABLES 3 released in 2014 is getting more impressive. In addition to the iconic Expendables team, this third sequel also features the character Zorro played by Antonio Banderas, veteran actor Mel Gibson, rising star in freestyle wrestling Ronda Rousey, and the actor who played Han Solo in STAR WARS, Harrison Ford.

THE EXPENDABLES 3 takes place when the team of soldiers is investigating illegal weapon transactions supplied for the war in Somalia. The problem becomes more complex when the illegal weapon transaction is related to the former leader of The Expendables who was presumed dead before.
