Marvel Producer Says 'VENOM 3' Has Started Production by Sony, Here's the Latest Update

1. Production Stage of Venom 3

In a video interview with Collider, Marvel producer Amy Pascal further explained the development stage of Venom 3. "We are currently in the planning stage, but what we are focusing on is getting everyone to come and see NO WAY HOME," said Pascal.

Currently, Marvel is indeed focused on the release of the film SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME, but at least the highly anticipated VENOM 3 is already in the planning stage. It will be interesting to see what they will present in the third film, especially after the crossover with the MCU.

2. Venom 3 Joins the MCU

In the interview, Pascal briefly discussed how Sony collaborates with Disney Marvel in the collaboration of SPIDER-MAN. Because the character Venom is now part of the MCU.

"There are amazing films made by Sony with other characters and there is the Marvel universe, there is also the Spider-Verse film, and we are all very careful to work with each other in an additive way for everyone," said Pascal.

As you know, in the mid-credits scene of VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE, Eddie Brock and Venom were unexpectedly transferred to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where they saw J. Jonah Jameson revealing Spider-Man's secret identity to the world.

3. Crossover Planned Since the Beginning

Although there is no clarity about how this crossover will be presented to fans, as quoted from cbr.com, Head of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige said that this crossover has been in the works since the first VENOM film in 2018. "So once Sony made their VENOM film and it worked well, and Tom Hardy became an iconic character like Venom, then the question is, 'How do we start merging them (Venom and MCU)?'"

Star Tom Hardy also stated that he is "very excited" to make more VENOM films, while director Andy Serkis said he has some ideas about how the VENOM trilogy will unfold. Serkis also added that the confrontation between Spider-Man and Venom will definitely happen.
