There are also new cast members in this film, such as Lucien Laviscount, who is said to be Emily's new love interest. According to Deadline, his character named Alfie is a Londoner who refuses to speak French or immerse himself in French culture.

In this new season, it seems that Lily will speak more in French. "Because the show was originally made for America, I don't know how much French language with translated texts will be tolerated by American viewers," Lily said to Vanity Fair. She also said that there will be more subtitle content.
