Netflix Announces Cast for Indonesian Action-Comedy Film 'THE BIG 4', Starring Abimana Aryasatya and Putri Marino

Kapanlagi.com - Netflix is bringing another original Indonesian film, THE BIG 4, directed by a well-known Indonesian director. This film is the work of director Timo Tjahjanto, who also directed the film THE NIGHT COMES FOR US (2018). Following the success of his previous film, which was also released on Netflix, Timo is now creating an action-comedy film for Netflix. Apart from action, this film will also be infused with Timo Tjahjanto's signature humor.

THE BIG 4 tells the story of four former hitmen who have promised to leave their old lives behind, but are forced to reunite when their dangerous past catches up to them. THE BIG 4 is also an original film produced by Frontier Pictures in collaboration with Netflix.

The main cast of this film will be played by Abimana Aryasatya and Putri Marino. Abimana himself is known for his role in GUNDALA, while Putri Marino is an award-winning actress who won Best Leading Actress at the 2017 Indonesian Film Festival and also starred in the film POSESIF. Both of them will showcase their acting skills in the upcoming action scenes of THE BIG 4.

"I am very excited to dive into the world of THE BIG 4 and work together with Timo again after THE NIGHT COMES FOR US, with other talented young actors," said Abimana. Meanwhile, Putri Marino revealed her excitement to be part of THE BIG 4, considering this is her first action film.

"This is my first action film, and doing it with Timo Tjahjanto and Netflix adds to the excitement of this project. I can't wait to show a side that has never been seen before through my role," said Chicco Jerikho's wife.

Also joining the Big 4 group are Arie Kriting (SUSAH SINYAL), Lutesha (PENYALIN CAHAYA), as well as newcomer Kristo Immanuel. The Big 4 is also starring Marthino Lio, Budi Ros, Donny Damara, Michelle Tahalea, and many more.

Director Timo Tjahjanto explained that THE BIG 4 is a fresh and exciting action comedy, and is not afraid to showcase elements of courage and explosions. He also expressed his happiness and pride after being able to announce the lineup of actors who will give their best performances and make this film an extraordinary experience for audiences worldwide.

THE BIG 4 is preparing for production and is scheduled to be released in 2022, only on Netflix.
