Born with the name Kieran Kyle Culkin on September 30, 1982, in New York, United States, he began his career in a commercial at the age of 6.

Kieran is the younger brother of Macaulay Culkin, the actor who played Kevin McCallister in HOME ALONE. In HOME ALONE, he plays the role of Kevin's younger brother, Fuller McCallister.

His first shooting experience faced difficulties, he revealed that a director harshly criticized him and called him an “idiot” despite his very young age at that time. However, this early struggle did not prevent him from continuing to act.

Long before starring in feature films & series, Kieran Culkin was more active in theater. He performed in London's West End in THIS IS OUR YOUTH alongside Michael Cera and Tavi Gevinson in 2003. He also starred in other theater plays including SUBURBIA (2006) and AFTER ASHLEY (2005). On March 10, 2025, he will play the role of Richard Roma in the play GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS on Broadway, which will also star Bob Odenkirk & Bill Burr.
