“Presented as a love letter to Ozzy and the pioneering music of Black Sabbath, this theatrical release will be a condensed version of the epic all-day event at Villa Park,” said an official statement from the production team.

Still from the same release, this film will present, “a very personal and moving farewell from the godfather of heavy metal with exclusive behind-the-scenes access and interviews from this iconic live performance,” as quoted from Variety on July 18.

The Back to the Beginning concert became a historic moment as it was the first time the original lineup of Black Sabbath performed together again after 20 years. A total of 42,000 attendees were present live at Villa Park, Birmingham, and 3 million others watched through a paid live broadcast.
