13 Bom in Jakarta tells the story of a terrorist group launching their attacks by bombing the city of Jakarta. The leader of the terrorist group, Arok (Rio Dewanto), warns that there are 13 bombs scattered throughout Jakarta. Arok threatens to detonate a bomb every 8 hours, and to stop him, they must deliver a fantastic ransom to save the surrounding residents.

On the other side, the Counter Terrorism Agency and secret agents discover some names involved in this act of terrorism. Some of them are Oscar (Chicco Kurniawan) and William (Ardhito Pramono), who are digital currency businessmen.

Facing the continuous threat of terrorism to the capital city residents, a special team is assigned to capture Arok and his accomplices. However, the situation becomes more difficult when there is a suspicion of infiltrators within their team.

He decided not to use masks with high-concept designs like in the movie Money Heist or other Western films to build a closeness with Indonesian audiences. "I wanted this film to be conceptually close, relatable to Indonesian viewers. So I didn't choose a high concept," he said.

After successfully directing the film Mencuri Raden Saleh in 2022, Angga Dwimas Sasongko once again showcases his masterpiece through the film 13 Bom di Jakarta. The director and writer also admitted that this work was inspired by the bombing tragedy that occurred in the Tangerang area in 2015.
