5 Facts About 'PETUALANGAN SHERINA 2' Revealed by Sherina and Mira Lesmana

1. Trailer to be Released in July

Producer Mira Lesmana revealed that the trailer for PETUALANGAN SHERINA 2 will be released in July. So, she is not yet brave enough to leak the story further.

“(The leak) is waiting for the trailer in July, next month. Maybe just a little bit if we look at the films we produce at Miles, we will always bring something to take home. So hopefully in the second Petualangan Sherina film, we can also get the same thing,” said Mira Lesmana.

2. Suitable for All Ages

Furthermore, Mira Lesmana stated that the film PETUALANGAN SHERINA 2 can be watched by all ages. However, the decision still lies with the Film Censorship Board.

"If we ourselves create this film about Sherina and Sadam who are already adults, of course. But we created this film to be enjoyed by all ages and families. But the final decision is with the Film Censorship Board. So we all hope this film can be watched by all ages," said Mira Lesmana.

3. Many Memories Brought

Meanwhile, director Riri Riza said that many things or memories were brought from his first film to his second one. The difference is that in the first film, the location was in Jakarta and Bandung, while PETUALANGAN SHERINA 2 was shot in Jakarta and Kalimantan.

"The big shoot was in Jakarta and Kalimantan. This is the story of Sherina and Sadam 23 years later, with many moments that remind them. Sherina and Sadam's childhood in the film 23 years ago was a prime time in their family. So there must be many things brought," explained Riri Riza.

4. Sherina Will Perform 6 Songs

Especially in this film, Sherina also acts as a music director. She is trusted to replace the late composer Elfa Secioria who was the music director in the first film. She will also perform six songs for the soundtrack.

"Now I am in charge of working on the music background. (The soundtrack) has six plus one. Then I will sing six Sherina songs," said Sherina.

5. Challenging Scene for Derby Romero

Meanwhile, the challenging scene for Derby Romero during the filming of PETUALANGAN SHERINA 2 was when he had to ride a klotok boat.

"(The scene) with the klotok boat was difficult. So, before the shooting, I had to practice because it's hard to handle the klotok boat. It's a long boat and I couldn't see the road from behind. So, Sherina told me where the rocks were on the right and left. There were some collisions," said Derby Romero.
