AAA Clan Led by Reza Arap in the Film HARUSNYA HOROR, Follow the Character Development Bootcamp

This project marks Reza's directorial debut and the first serious acting opportunity for the members of AAA Clan in a feature film. HARUSNYA HOROR is scheduled to premiere simultaneously in Indonesian cinemas on August 20, 2026.

The story of their preparation was shared during a press conference at XXI Epicentrum, Jakarta, on Thursday (13/8/2026). Working under the direction of a close friend brings a unique and challenging dynamic to the work. The AAA Clan members involved include Reza Arap, Tierison, Bravy, Garry Ang, Niko Julius, Yukatheo, Ibot, Tepe, and King Aloy.

One of the steps they took was a character development bootcamp in an unconventional format. Bravy recounted a discussion session held casually at a hotel.

"We were at a hotel, but we were really talking about the film. Just with the condition at that time we were having drinks to be more honest about exchanging feelings, then we dove into the characters," said Bravy.

1. Relaxed Bootcamp for Character Deepening

The bootcamp program designed by Reza Arap does not follow a formal training pattern. The players are invited to dissect stories and characters openly in a relaxed atmosphere, allowing conversations to flow and personal experiences to be shared more easily.

This approach provides space for mutual "feeling exchange" and searching for the emotional grounding of each role. In addition to facilitating the bootcamp, the preparation process is also supported by the presence of an acting coach to ensure a smooth transition from the content world to big-screen acting.

This non-formal method is considered to facilitate character deepening without the pressure that usually arises in conventional training. The fluid discussions allow AAA Clan members to quickly discover the internal dynamics of the characters they play.

2. Chemistry from Marapthon Becomes the Main Asset

For Garry and Niko, the closeness among the crew is nothing new. During the Marapthon streaming, they are used to gathering, hanging out, and even living and sleeping together in one house. This habit of living side by side strengthens the sense of trust outside the set.

The established closeness before the camera rolls helps with interactions during scenes. The chemistry that arises from long togetherness facilitates improvisation and responses among players when in front of the camera MUST BE HORROR.

Under the direct guidance of Reza Arap, who is also part of their friendship circle, the shooting process presents a unique dynamic. Personal closeness and professional demands run side by side, becoming both a challenge and a strength in production.

3. Tierison's (Jot) Debut and the Role of Acting Coach

Tierison, affectionately called Jot, plays Kevin, one of the main characters with a significant amount of screen time. As a newcomer in feature films, Jot admitted to feeling pressure in the early stages, especially during the script reading sessions.

"So, the acting coach had a big influence. At first, it was quite stressful, especially during the reading, it was pretty stressful, but eventually during filming, it turned out to not be as scary as that," Jot said.

The support from the acting coach helped ease the typical nerves of a debutant and prepared Jot to face the shooting rhythm. HORROR SHOULD BE released simultaneously starting August 20, 2026, in Indonesian cinema networks.
