1. Fair Estimate of Animation Film Production

Hanung also mentioned a fair estimate of the time and cost required for an animation film.

"For your information, the budget for making an animation film is at least Rp30-40 billion excluding promotion. It takes about 4-5 years to complete," continued the director of the film GOWOK: KAMASUTRA JAWA.

2. Up to Previs Level

"A budget of Rp6 billion only covers up to the previs level (a collection of colored storyboards animated as a guide for the Animator)," Hanung explained further.

According to him, if what is shown by MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL is just the previs, it's no wonder that the audience does not give positive appreciation.

"If that's what is shown, the audience will definitely be resistant. It's like building a house; if the cement hasn't been plastered and the floor is still rough concrete," concluded Hanung.
