Kapanlagi.com - The latest horror comedy film, BALD DEMON AT ANCOL BRIDGE, will grace Indonesian cinema starting March 6, 2025. Directed by Anggy Umbara, this film brings back the urban legend of Ancol Bridge that has long been known to the public. With a new touch combining horror, comedy, and drama, this film promises an exciting and entertaining viewing experience.
"Don't expect me to be flirtatious, there won't be any. This is according to the director's request; when I was offered to play in a demon film, it had to be scary," said Ozy Syahputra when met at XXI Metropole, Jakarta, some time ago.
The story of this film centers on Nirmala, an indigo girl haunted by curiosity after her friend mysteriously disappears. Nirmala's investigation leads her to the fact that children from the orphanage where she lives often disappear without a trace every year. The figure of Bang Ozi, or the Bald Demon, becomes the key to uncovering the mystery.
"The makeup here is really cool, but the process is extraordinary. When it's time for prayer, I have to redo my makeup, which takes two hours. So, this is really a test of patience," said Ozy, sharing her challenges during filming.
This film also stars Indah Permatasari, Cornelio Sunny, Jameelah Saleem, as well as comedians Tomy Babap, Anyun Cadel, and Arief Didu. Their presence provides a balance between the chilling horror elements and fresh, entertaining comedy.
"This film has a nostalgic feel. You must miss my voice. But this is very different from before. I don’t want to spoil it, you have to watch it yourself later," requested Ozy.

For Ozy, this moment is very special because it is the film she has been waiting for 33 years. "This is the biggest gift for me. Approaching the age of 63, I was given a film like this. I'm so happy!" she said gratefully.
Filming took place in several locations considered scary to enhance the authenticity of the horror atmosphere. "We shot in scary places to make the ambience feel right. But I’m a coward, so I often need to pee and ask to be accompanied. But my friends didn’t want to because they said my face looked like a ghost!" she added while laughing.
This film offers various emotions in one package, from tension to laughter. "Everything is here: sad, scary, funny. So it's really the perfect entertainment during the fasting month," said Ozy, who is optimistic that the film will be well received by the audience.
Scheduled to be screened simultaneously in cinema chains like XXI, CGV, and Cinepolis, Bald Demon on the Ancol Bridge is expected to unite nostalgia and refreshing new elements. "I hope this film not only entertains but also brings something fresh for the current generation," concluded Ozy.
