Becoming 'Reza Rahadian' the Comic Version, Oki Rengga is Embarrassed His Film is Released Every Month

The career of Oki Rengga Winata in the Indonesian film industry seems to be shining brightly. His face has frequently appeared on the big screen in recent months. So often has he appeared that many netizens have started to compare his productivity to that of top actor Reza Rahadian.

However, who would have thought that Oki actually feels embarrassed by that nickname. The former goalkeeper of PSMS Medan admits he feels awkward every time he sees the poster for his latest film released.

Oki realizes that his films are being released in succession almost every month, starting from October last year until April next. This makes it seem as if he dominates Indonesian cinemas.

"I'm embarrassed. Honestly, with every post, I feel a bit shy. My film has been showing since October, every month. September, October, November, December, January, February. Only in March my film isn’t showing. Then in April, I have another film coming out," said Oki Rengga while laughing.

Oki explained that this phenomenon is not because he is a workaholic or constantly filming in a short period. Some films that are released close together are actually projects that were filmed a long time ago, but only now are getting a release schedule. He also asks for the audience's understanding that this is part of the dynamics of the film industry.

"Some have been shooting since 2024, early 2025 and so on. Because sometimes films don't get a slot for the release date. People outside don't know, so we can't blame them either," he explained.

Nevertheless, Oki remains grateful and considers all of this as a blessing. He also emphasized that he does not want to be called a pure actor, but rather a 'film industry person' because he is still active in various other fields such as stand-up comedy and hosting.

One of the latest projects keeping him busy is the film Gak Ada Matinya. In this film, he plays Binsar, a boy who gets caught in an absurd situation when his father, who was thought to be dead, turns out to be alive again. This film, produced by Muhadkly Acho, is scheduled to be released in 2026.

"Hopefully this film will be an everlasting show. We are currently in the shooting process and hopefully it will be released soon," concluded Oki Rengga.Â
