Kapanlagi.com - Bakti Lingkungan Djarum Foundation (BLDF) has released the latest web series #SiapDarLing titled PUSAKA. The release of the web series PUSAKA was marked by a talk show and watch party (nobar) event with media partners.

The event took place at the pendopo of Candi Sewu Yogyakarta, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, evening. Through the talk show and nobar session, several interesting and unique facts about the web series PUSAKA were revealed.

In the midst of the popularity of web series with teenage romance themes, the PUSAKA web series by BLDF comes with an environmental theme. For BLDF, PUSAKA is the fourth web series after three previous titles, PRINCE DARLING, JUMPA, and HEALING TRIP, which have successfully gathered more than 12 million viewers.

Mutiara Diah Asamara, Director of Communication at Djarum Foundation, admitted in her virtual speech that the achievement of 12 million viewers in the three previous web series was a motivation to release PUSAKA.

"Our achievement through three web series has obtained 12.5 million viewers on the YouTube channel. This makes us believe that environmental education content in the form of short films or series is one of the attractive ways to reach the younger generation," said Mutiara.

Through a discussion session, Adnan Djani, as the scriptwriter, conveyed his hopes for the PUSAKA web series. According to him, the PUSAKA web series can awaken the younger generation to the importance of maintaining human-to-human relationships, human-to-nature relationships, and human-to-spiritual relationships.

Not stopping there, Adnan also expressed his desire for the PUSAKA web series to reach more content creators and encourage them to voice similar issues.

"Through entertainment (web series), (environmental issues) should be easier to digest and inspire. (So) there might be more content creators who create content about the environment," said Adnan.

3. Becoming an Impactful Web Series

Adnan Djani's hope that his web series can have an impact is not an overly ambitious goal. Ucup Klaten, one of the actors who portrays the character Getuk, has already started to feel the positive impact of the PUSAKA web series. After filming, Ucup Klaten has become more concerned about the environment around his home.

"After participating in the filming of the PUSAKA web series, if I see candy wrappers, I immediately put them in a bag. Later, when I find a trash bin, I throw it away or bring it home and throw it away there," said Ucup Klaten.

PUSAKA conveys environmental issues through a unique story. In the story, PUSAKA combines elements of mystery and comedy. The mystery and comedy that envelop the environmental issue are conveyed through an exciting friendship story among the three main characters.

PUSAKA tells the story of three friends, Getuk, Bima, and Risa, who all experience strange dreams. Although the dreams of the three friends are different, they seem to have a common message. Equipped with clues from their respective dreams, Getuk, Bima, and Risa embark on an adventure to uncover the meaning behind them.
