The latest film by Bayu Skak titled Sekawan Limo, will soon be released in theaters. Unlike his previous films, this time Bayu brings the horror genre in the film Sekwan Limo.
When met at Kapanlagi Youniverse, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday afternoon (26/6), Bayu said that this film will be very different. In addition to presenting drama, comedy, and horror vibes, Sekawan Limo will provide lessons for the audience.
He explained that Sekawan Limo will teach the meaning of making peace with the past. So that it doesn't become an excuse for vacation or escape from sadness.
"Sekawan Limo that is different is a horror comedy, a unique package or combination that becomes something new," said Bayu Skak.
"Actually, the unique thing is the essence of reconciling with the past," he added.
Talking about the past, this is what inspired the horror atmosphere in the film Sekawan Limo.
According to him, if you don't make peace with it, the past will always haunt you.
"Talking about the past, so you have to make peace or else you will be haunted by ghosts from the past," he said.
"So if you want to wish, just wish and don't wish to become a disguise for escape," In addition, Bayu briefly explained the meaning of the film title Sekawan Limo that he chose. In the story, it tells about four friends who go up the mountain.
However, without their knowledge, they were accompanied by one additional person (a supernatural being) who went up the mountain with them.
"Sekawan means four, limo means five, in terms of meaning, it means we are a group and there are five people," he explained.
"Five people climbed the mountain, it turns out one of them is not a human but a demon. That's how it is," he said.
