Family Drama Film 'SAHDU' to be Released in Theaters on September 21, 2023, Read the Synopsis Here

Kapanlagi.com - Amidst the storm of romance and horror films, there is one family drama film that will also be screened in theaters this month; SATU HARI DENGAN IBU or SAHDU. The film, produced by Ruang 29 Pictures, is scheduled to be released on September 21 in the XXI cinema network.

The film SAHDU holds many positive values and is expected to become one of the outstanding national cinemas born from a community with a background in social humanity for the reference of quality family entertainment in Indonesia.

SAHDU is the debut production of Ruang 29 Pictures, in collaboration with Film Maker Muslim/FMM, Hubb Connect, Kajian Musawarah, Masjid Kapal Munzalan Indonesia, and Agarillus Film. The story idea came from humanitarian-based communities (Kajian Musawarah, Masjid Kapal Munzalan Indonesia, Badan Kontak Majelis Taklim/BKMT, and Sahabat UAS) throughout Indonesia.

1. Directed by Muhammad Amrul Ummami

Young director, Muhammad Amrul Ummami, who previously succeeded in working on the film MENGEJAR HALAL (2017) and the trilogy of short films CINTA SUBUH (2016), was entrusted to weave the story of SAHDU in a widescreen format. Amrul entrusted the main male character to the talented young actor, Chand Kelvin. In addition, there are also other names such as Vonny Anggraini, Vebby Palwinta as Putri, and many others.

Meanwhile, Ustaz Abdul Somad, or commonly known as UAS, also supports the birth of the film SAHDU as a means of moral education for the entire Indonesian family.

"Let's not wait until our mother is gone, then we will regret and feel empty in our lives. Whatever we have feels useless. So while she is still here, hug her, kiss her hands, and love her with all our hearts. If you have a little fortune, make her happy," UAS firmly stated.

2. Starring Top Actors

Meanwhile, the film SAHDU also features special performances from several Indonesian artists to strengthen the storyline and scenes. Among them are Ivan Govinda, Rizal Armada, Ricky Perdana, and Cupink Topan, each performing with excellent and natural character portrayal.

"We intentionally present special performances from several Indonesian artists to add more color to the film SAHDU, which strengthens the narrative thread that is the strength of this film," said director Amrul Ummami.

In another part, the young figure Hj.Syifa Fauzia, the Chairman of the Contact Body for Majelis Taklim (BKMT) as well as the Ambassador of Zakat for the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS), encourages mothers who are part of any community, especially BKMT, to support and watch the film SAHDU. According to her, this is because being a mother is a noble choice in raising the nation's golden generation through the institution of the family.

"Being a mother is great. Because a mother will produce a successor generation that is better than the previous generation. We can support and make the film SAHDU successful, which is full of moral messages of goodness, by watching and exploring exciting moments in the film together with our family," emphasized Syifa.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Ruang 29 Pictures re-launches the film poster 'SAHDU' as part of the film promotion activities.

"We hope that the strong visual narrative support from the film poster 'SAHDU' can strengthen the implied and expressed messages about the importance of maintaining the relationship between children and parents, especially mothers," added Novandrian, the producer of the film SAHDU.

3. Synopsis of SAHDU

SAHDU tells the story of an adult man, Dewa, who lives with his single parent mother after his father's death to support their livelihood. Meanwhile, Dewa is busy with his job and activities in the big city, Jakarta. As a result, he doesn't have much quality time to interact with his mother. This story often happens in the relationship between a mother and an adult child who already has their own job and activities outside the house. Meanwhile, the mother continues to give sincere love to her child in the form of attention, which the child sometimes understands as restrictive behavior and actions.

SAHDU has the strength in the storyline built around a mother's love for her child in raising, caring for, and educating based on the universal values taught in Islam and other religions.
