Kapanlagi.com - The gala premiere of the film TENUNG BY RISA SARASWATI & DIMASTA was held with great fanfare at CGV Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, on Monday (2/6/2025) night. The horror film produced by MD Pictures was enthusiastically welcomed by the invited guests and audience who filled the studio. One of the main cast members, Ony Serojawati, dazzled in the guise of the terrifying character she portrayed.

However, behind the success of the film, Ony had to go through a challenging shooting process. She even suffered a fairly serious injury during the filming.

"Actually, it was technically complicated, yes, but there was something heavier because I fractured my foot, so it was difficult to stand and walk at that time. But as they say, it's a professional job," Ony revealed when met after the gala premiere.

1. Afraid to See Her Own Face

Not only that, Ony also admitted that she was afraid to see her own face during the filming process. The scary character makeup made her reluctant to look in the mirror on set.

"Oh usually when I want to go to the toilet, I ask to be accompanied and there's no mirror, I don't want to see my own face. It's annoying, super scary," Ony said with a small laugh.

2. Aisyah Aqilah is Impressed by Ony

In response to that, Aisyah Aqilah, who also stars in the film, expressed her admiration for Ony, who was able to delve into the character and appear so frightening.

"Yeah, she is really scary, especially since my mom often sleeps next to me. I sleep facing my mom," Aisyah described a funny yet scary moment while living together during the film's production.

3. Challenges During Filming

The filming process of TENUNG indeed demands a lot from its actors. Besides physicality, technical aspects also pose a unique challenge for Ony.

"Even though it's tough and tiring, just go through it, there's nothing instant. If you want a good film like that, there's nothing instant, the technical side is difficult," he stated firmly.

4. Challenges in Building Chemistry

As a horror film that features a lot of emotional interaction between mother and child, Ony mentioned that the main challenge lies in the process of building chemistry amidst the intensity of production.

"If we say it's difficult, it's more about the preparation, how we manage the phases. Luckily, we can blend right away and are grateful because the assembled cast isn't large, and we support each other, we need to have trust in one another," he explained.

5. Sundanese Language Dialogue

Meanwhile, Aisyah Aqilah, who plays one of the children in this film, also faces her own challenges. She has to dialogue in Sundanese, even though she does not have a background in that culture.

"Yes, I can't speak Sundanese at all. I'm not Sundanese and I just learned it; fortunately, during the reading, there was a dialect coach who accompanied me until it was finished," she said.

6. Ony's Praise for Aisyah Aqilah

Astonishment also came from Ony towards his co-star. According to Ony, Aisyah is a very talented actress, especially in capturing linguistic nuances.

"She is talented, right? There are some who are great at linguistics, accents, and so on," praised Ony.

7. Togetherness of the Players

Aside from the technical and language challenges, Aisyah admitted that she really enjoyed the togetherness with the other players, especially with Emir Mahira and Sonia Alyssa.

"It’s so much fun, from the moment I met them, they were really funny, Kak Emir is hilarious, Kak Sonia too, especially Mama is really funny. That’s why I feel like I found a new family," said Aisyah enthusiastically.
