For Her Role in 'STILL SINGLE', Yuki Kato Willing to Endure Pain When Her Scoliosis Recurs

Kapanlagi.com - Actress Yuki Kato experienced an unexpected event while filming her latest series titled STILL SINGLE. Too immersed in her role as Maya, a clumsy girl racing against time to get married, Yuki actually experienced a recurrence of scoliosis that she hadn't felt for a long time.

"So I'm Maya, and coincidentally my scoliosis flared up, so my instructor got mad at me. It got worse, boo! I swear," said Yuki Kato while laughing when met in the Gajah Mada area, Central Jakarta, Friday (17/10).

Yuki shared that the soreness in her body started to feel noticeable during a shooting break. However, she only realized that her posture had changed after a Pilates session with her personal instructor.

"During the shooting break, I felt really sore. Then, during Pilates, my instructor said, 'Oh my, what have you been doing, Ki?' It turns out my posture has gone wrong again because of the way Maya walks," she continued.

According to Yuki, the recurrence of her scoliosis is not without reason. The character Maya that she plays has a slightly hunched and careless body style, which her body unconsciously mimicked during months of shooting.

"I think it’s because of Maya's posture. Maya really slouches, you know," she revealed.

The 29-year-old actress admitted that she has just realized that her total dedication to her role has a real side effect on her physical condition.

"Well, it turns out that it also affects my body posture. Yes, it's been three months of filming as Maya," Yuki explained.
