HAS Pictures Sends Legal Notice to Ratu Sofya Over Refusal to Promote Film

The production house HAS Pictures has officially sent a legal notice to young actress Ratu Sofya. This legal step was taken because the actress is considered to have failed to fulfill her obligation to promote the latest film titled Dosa Penebusan or Pengampunan, in which she stars as the main character.

Ratu Sofya's sudden refusal to participate in the promotional agenda is seen as very detrimental to the production house professionally. HAS Pictures has finally spoken out to clarify various issues that have circulated, including the reasons for the discomfort expressed by the actress.

"I am Reza Aditya representing HAS Pictures, there is an issue regarding our film that will be released titled 'Sin of Redemption or Forgiveness'. What is the problem? One of the main roles in this film did not participate in the promotion and that clearly harms us as the production house," said Reza Aditya when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Thursday (21/5/2026).

Regarding the issue of the existence of adult scenes or sex scenes that are said to be the reason Ratu Sofya feels uncomfortable, Reza Aditya provided clarification. He did not deny the existence of such scenes, but emphasized that the filming process was conducted professionally and is part of the story.

"Well, RS is the one who threw the issue that there is indeed a sex scene in our film. It is true that there is, but we also do not expose it excessively because there is a philosophy behind it, there is a story. We are not selling this film just because of that scene. We also made it while still within the boundaries that are not vulgar and do not lead to pornography," emphasized Reza Aditya.

This issue escalated after Queen Sofia made a statement in a podcast claiming she was not provided a body double or stunt double while performing that scene. This was immediately denied by the production team through their legal counsel.

"First, regarding the contract signed by her father, Sofyan Hasan. There are rights and obligations that must be fulfilled by Queen Sofia. Her absence in promotional obligations, both personally on social media and together with the company, is very detrimental to our client. Therefore, the company took steps to send a formal notice and invited a meeting. However, in the meeting with her legal counsel, there was no solution," said Taqwa as the Legal Counsel for HAS Pictures.

The producer suspects that there are personal family issues affecting Ratu Sofya's professionalism at work. Reza Aditya also gave a stern warning to the actress about the long-term impact of her attitude on her career in the future.

"The entertainment world is small. If you have issues with professionalism, others will hesitate to work with you. This has nothing to do with your family matters. We only demand professionalism for the obligations we have fulfilled," concluded Reza Aditya.
