'IBLIS DALAM KANDUNGAN 2: DECEPTION' Presents New Terror with a More Gripping Story

Kapanlagi.com - After a huge success with IBLIS DALAM KANDUNGAN (2022) which attracted 500 thousand viewers in Indonesia and was popular in Southeast Asia, DHF Entertainment is back with the highly anticipated sequel, IBLIS DALAM KANDUNGAN 2: DECEPTION. This film will premiere on February 27, 2025, and promises a more intense horror experience filled with surprises.

This sequel is written by the duo of screenwriters Asaf Antariksa and Dharma Putra, who have crafted a storyline full of tension and intrigue. IBLIS DALAM KANDUNGAN 2: DECEPTION also features a new director, Johansyah Jumberan, who previously succeeded with SARANJANA KOTA GHAIB (2023). The change of director and several main cast members, including Widi Mulia replacing Nafa Urbach as Amelia, brings a fresh perspective to this film.

The story in this sequel takes the audience back to the life of Amelia (Widi Mulia), who is now pregnant and living with her two adopted children, Alani (Denira Wiraguna) and Vito (Muhammad Adhiyat). Hopes for a new life turn into a nightmare when Amelia and her children become trapped in a dark conspiracy in a hospital.

1. Struggle of Life and Death

This conflict presents a struggle of life and death to save Amelia and the baby in her womb from the evil forces surrounding them. Widi Mulia expresses her enthusiasm for returning to the horror film world after quite some time.

"I first appeared on the big screen in a horror film, so this feels like a return to my initial genre. The character of Amelia in 'IDK 2' is very interesting, with many twists and unexpected storylines. Moreover, I play the role of a pregnant mother, so the challenges are more specific," Widi said when met in the Menteng area of Central Jakarta on Friday (24/1/2025).

The shooting process, which took place on a tight schedule, posed a unique challenge for Widi. As a mother and a professional worker, Widi has to balance her various roles to ensure everything runs smoothly.

"The schedule has to be clear, because I also have other jobs. Thank goodness, everything is appreciated and respected by the team. Alhamdulillah, the shooting went smoothly," she revealed.

Although this film is of the horror genre, Widi ensures that there were no mystical incidents that disrupted the shooting process. However, he admits there were technical constraints that caused the shooting to fall slightly behind schedule.

"There were no horror incidents as often recounted by people. But yes, there were minor issues like shooting times being pushed back due to certain situations," he said.

This film also features new actors such as Munggaran Meldrat, Dayu Wijanto, Pipien Putri, and Gusti Gina. Their presence adds a new dimension to the story filled with intrigue and tension. Meanwhile, returning actors like Denira Wiraguna and Muhammad Adhiyat reprise their roles that have left a mark on the audience's hearts since the first film.

The producer of DHF Entertainment expresses high optimism for this film. They hope this sequel can surpass the success of the first film.

"After its release in Indonesia, this film will also be launched in several countries in Southeast Asia. We believe the more gripping story and strong characters will receive a positive response from the audience," said a representative of the production house.
