Indro Warkop in a Hugging Scene with Cut Meyriska, Roger Danuarta's Comment Becomes the Highlight

Kapanlagi.com - Indro Warkop, Cut Meyriska, and Roger Danuarta are brought together in a movie titled PINTU SURGA TERAKHIR. In this family drama by Fajar Bustomi, Indro and Chika are cast as father and child characters.

When reading the script, there is a scene that requires the two stars from different generations to embrace. Indro admitted that he was initially confused about how to discuss it with Chika because it was their first acting project together.  

"During the reading, I had one concern, which was Chika. This is my assumption before shooting. She wears a hijab, can I do it completely? Because she is already married and famous. At that time, I didn't dare to ask." Until finally we practiced, practiced, practiced, and he responded really well. If later people say that this is not Indro as usual, yes, because there is a co-star who gives input so that it is explored not to become Indro," said Indro when met by KapanLagi.com in the Warung Buncit area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (27/10/2021).

The same confusion was apparently felt by Chika. "At first, I was the same as Uncle Indro, 'How is this, there is a hugging scene?'. Because we are close in the story here. At first, we didn't talk about it, but it flowed naturally because when we were reading, it wasn't Uncle Indro, not Cut, but as our characters. I don't know, when I arrive at the location, it's already different, not me," added Chika in the same interview session.

1. Hugging with Indro Warkop

Considering her hijab, as an actress, Cut Meyriska naturally limits physical contact with her co-stars. However, in the movie PINTU SURGA TERAKHIR, there is an exception because of her role as a daughter who loves her father.

"If my co-star is an actor of similar age, there might be limitations. But since this is Om Indro's role as my father, what is there to think about, he's my father. Especially when we are immersed in the story. If my co-star is of similar age and there are excessive intimate scenes, it would be different. I already consider Om Indro as my own father during filming," explained Chika.

Indro also explained that throughout the filming process, Chika has been very professional. "Chika is Islamic, wears a hijab, but when it comes to acting in a movie, she will do what is within the limits of reasonableness. But when she chose this film, she already knew," added Indro.

2. Roger Danuarta's Comment

Roger Danuarta also does not mind the interaction between Indro Warkop and Cut Meyriska in the movie. Because when he read the script, he actually felt that the scene would be lacking if it was not done completely.

"In my opinion, the script is great. It flows smoothly and sweetly from the beginning. So it's a shame if this scene is not included. Moreover, it's a father and child relationship, so it's natural," said Roger firmly.
