Known as the Queen of Horror, Shareefa Daanish Now Appears Without Scary Scenes in SIHIR TANAH KUBUR

Kapanlagi.com - Shareefa Daanish, who has long been associated with terrifying roles, now appears with a very different character in the film SIHIR TANAH KUBUR. She actually plays a figure that emphasizes the importance of family support.

"What I want to convey from this film is that no matter what, family support is very important. If our family is strong, we can face any challenges," said Shareefa Daanish at a press conference at XXI Epicentrum, South Jakarta, Thursday (17/7/2026).

When asked if she felt 'itchy' for not having any scary scenes, Shareefa admitted that she actually felt relieved. She mentioned that her role this time serves as a balance to the horror characters she has played so far.

"Actually, I don't feel that way. I feel like maybe before this, I played many terrifying characters. And now I'm given a role that is not scary at all," Shareefa said.

1. Leaving the Comfort Zone

Nevertheless, Shareefa mentioned that this opportunity also serves as a platform for her to showcase a different side of her acting than usual. She expressed her happiness in stepping out of her comfort zone as a ghost character.

"But, I understand that it might be due to the duration issue. And here I actually feel, 'Ah, thank God. I don’t have to work too hard.' But for me, this is actually my opportunity to show my acting on a different side, right?" said Shareefa.

2. Can't Choose

When asked whether she prefers to play a demon character or an ordinary human, Shareefa admitted that she cannot choose one. For her, both types of characters are equally challenging and enjoyable to portray.

"Actually for me, both. Both are demons or human characters, right? They have their advantages and disadvantages. So for me, both are challenges and I like both," said Shareefa.

The film SIHIR TANAH KUBUR is scheduled to be released in cinemas across Indonesia starting July 23, 2026. The film features a cast including Kiesha Alvaro, Ariyo Wahab, Shareefa Daanish, Adzwa Aurell, Revaldo, and Rafi Sanjaya.
