Latest Horror Film Production by BASE Entertainment, 'MALAM PENCABUT NYAWA' Releases Teaser Trailer and Official Poster

Kapanlagi.com - One of the most anticipated films from BASE Entertainment, MALAM PENCABUT NYAWA, has finally released its teaser trailer and official film poster. As known, the first look of this horror genre film first appeared in December 2023 and has piqued the curiosity of film lovers.

The recently released teaser trailer has a duration of almost one minute. It showcases the development of the previously launched first look. It shows the main character of the film, MALAM PENCABUT NYAWA; Respati (Devano Danendra), waking up and finding himself in another realm. From an explanation by one of his school friends, Wulan (Keisya Levronka), Respati has the ability to enter the dream realm with full consciousness.

Next, we are taken into a dark and mysterious dream world where something is chasing Respati. The teaser trailer then concludes with a montage of intense scenes showing Respati's increasingly threatened life.

MALAM PENCABUT NYAWA is the second horror film produced by BASE Entertainment. Previously, they achieved phenomenal success with the film PEREMPUAN TANAH JAHANAM, which won the Citra Award for Best Film at FFI 2020.

Sidharta Tata was appointed as the director of MALAM PENCABUT NYAWA. Previously, he successfully directed another popular title, WAKTU MAHGRIB, one of the highest-grossing horror films in 2023.

This film is the third collaboration project between BASE Entertainment and Sidharta Tata, following the series TUNNEL (2019) and the short film THE PROTOCOL, part of the omnibus project titled Quarantine Tales (2020).

"As a young director, Tata always achieves new milestones in his work. His exploration, both in storytelling and directing techniques, is always intriguing to follow," said Shanty Harmayn, producer at BASE Entertainment.

"I am delighted to work with Tata again, supported by a reliable film crew, collaborating to deliver a horror film that is more than just scary, but also complete with a strong and thrilling storyline," she added.

2. Inspired by a Novel

The film NIGHT OF THE LIFE REMOVER is inspired by the novel Respati written by Ragil J.P. and the screenplay is written by Ambaridzki Ramadhantyo and Sidharta Tata. This film is targeted to be released in theaters around mid-2024.

NIGHT OF THE LIFE REMOVER stars a talented cast of young actors, including Devano Danendra, Keisya Levronka, Mikha Hernan, as well as comedian Fajar Nugra, and renowned actors such as Ratu Felisha, Budi Ros, and Kiki Narendra.
