Karnaval Thamrin, The Latest Hidden Gem in Jakarta that Presents a Modern Style Concept

Kapanlagi.com - The name Karnaval Thamrin might still sound unfamiliar. This restaurant has been standing since April 5, 2023, initially named Karnaval Dankdut. The initial concept was the largest premium dangdut outlet that often collaborated with DJ talents with a sexy woman image.

Seeing the lack of audience interest around the Thamrin City area, Karnaval Dankdut underwent rebranding, and now we know it as Karnaval Thamrin. And on Friday, January 19, 2024, Karnaval Thamrin officially opened its soft opening.

The current concept is more towards a modern style with Indonesian & Western food menus. Additionally, due to its location in the center of the capital city, surrounded by office buildings, malls, apartments, and shopping centers, Karnaval Thamrin is present as an entertainment venue that offers live music and live DJ performances every day.

The target segment that Karnaval aims to attract is young executives, hotel or apartment guests, and people who shop around Thamrin and its surroundings. Karnaval has 2 floors, where the 2nd floor has been operational since October 14, 2023, with a Bar & Lounge concept.

In terms of location, Karnaval Thamrin can be considered a 'Hidden place'. Not many people or the public are aware of Karnaval, both in terms of its location and what Karnaval itself is. Karnaval Thamrin is located in Thamrin City, for details you can enter through the entrance of Cosmo Mansion / Mixue / KFC and then go up 2 rounds, Karnaval Thamrin is located on the left near the front stairs of the JAK-PRO office.

For car parking, you can go up to P6 and then go down from the Amaris Hotel lift to the 1st floor towards Karnaval Thamrin.

2. Operating Hours and Facilities

Karnaval Thamrin is open from Monday to Sunday (1st floor) from 11.00 am - 01.00 am WIB, while on Monday to Saturday (2nd floor) from 07.00 pm - 02.00 am WIB. The current program on the 1st floor runs every Tuesday to Saturday from 07.00 pm - 09.00 pm WIB (Regular Singer) followed by 09.00 pm - 02.00 am WIB (Regular Band & DJ).

Meanwhile, the facilities that KLovers can find at Karnaval Thamrin currently are:
1. Meeting Room (1st floor) (Capacity 10-12 pax)
2. Dining Room / Restaurant (1st floor) (Capacity 40-50 pax)
3. Bar & Lounge (2nd floor) (Capacity 100-300 pax)

Karnaval Thamrin is also very open to private events / reservations such as Gatherings, Meetings, Private Parties, Photo Shoots / sessions, Filming, Product Launches, Private events, Birthdays, etc.

The current ongoing promotion is the Lunch Package (11am-3pm) for IDR 50,000++ excluding tax and service charge, which includes free iced tea, and the dinner package (7pm onwards) offers a 20% discount for all food and beverage menus.
