Lutesha Reveals Scary Experience Filming 'REST AREA', Wrapped in a Shroud and Entering a Grave

Actress Lutesha once again demonstrates her dedication in the world of acting through the latest horror film titled REST AREA. In this film, Lutesha plays the character Zizi, a wealthy girl who goes on vacation with her four friends and suddenly has to face the terrifying terror of a ghost in a plastic bag.

Lutesha admitted that the role of Zizi immediately caught her attention because it offered a new challenge that she had never experienced before.

"Zizi feels the most pure, but like her friends, she is afraid and arrogant," said Lutesha when met at XXI Epicentrum Kuningan, South Jakarta, Tuesday (23/9).

For Lutesha, the film Rest Area gives her the opportunity to explore deeply rooted feelings of fear. Although she claims to not be the type of person who is easily frightened, she must be able to evoke a truly real sense of horror.

"I'm not the type to be afraid of ghosts or anything. But here, I am required to feel that way, so I have to dig into that fear," said the 31-year-old woman.

One of the most challenging scenes that tests her courage is when Lutesha has to act as if she is in a grave with her body wrapped in a shroud. She even developed her own acting method to convey that fear.

"How do I evoke that fear? This is one of the scenes in the trailer where I am wrapped in a shroud, I am being moved around, then I go into the grave. That has become one of my methods that I developed," she explained.

The experience left a deep impression because it made him feel as if he truly experienced the moment of death. "Yeah, I can imagine like, 'Oh, so this is what it feels like if I die someday, I'm wrapped in a shroud, I'm bathed, then I'm carried to the grave' like that," he added seriously.

Lutesha also considers the scene of being buried as an unforgettable emotional moment. She even imagined what it would feel like if she really passed away.

"Yeah, this is a feeling that is indeed terrifying. We only die once in our lifetime, that's the end of our life. From there, I try to bring out that feeling," said Lutesha.

The film Rest Area will be released in cinemas across the country on October 2, 2025. The story highlights five crazy rich kids: Zizi (Lutesha), Keanu (Ajil Ditto), Ale (Julian Jacob), Mia (Lania Fira), and Theo (Chicco Kurniawan), who experience terrifying horror terror from a ghost in a plastic bag.

Initially, the journey of these five young people is filled with laughter and happiness as they drive together. However, the situation drastically changes when they stop at a haunted rest area. From that point, the horrifying terror begins, turning their vacation into an unforgettable nightmare.
