Michelle Ziudith Acts Completely in the Film 'PUANG BOS', A New Challenge with a Touch of Local Culture

Michelle revealed that building chemistry with Ibrahim Risyad was an enjoyable experience. According to her, the opportunity to delve into the role with her co-star was done through a fairly lengthy reading process, about two weeks.

"It was quite enjoyable. We were given enough space and time, with the reading process itself taking about 2 weeks," said Michelle Ziudith during a press conference at XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday (7/11/2024).

Furthermore, Michelle mentioned that the shooting preparation also involved adjusting to the local Makassarese dialect and culture. They even underwent a workshop in Makassar before shooting began, to better understand the cultural background they wanted to portray.

"There is a process of getting accustomed to the scope and dialect of Makassar. So we had a lot of workshops when we arrived in Makassar before shooting," said Michelle.

The challenges in this film are quite interesting for Michelle. She feels that her role in PUANG BOS gives her the opportunity to explore a character that not only touches emotions but also local cultural aspects.

"I think this film PUANG BOS is a fun film to delve into. Because it is indeed challenging, and the cast is exciting with many local artists from Makassar who support and deepen their characters," she said.

The shooting process, which took place in various locations, including Bulukumba and Tanah Bira, was also a memorable experience for Michelle. This location is known as a place for making Pinisi boats, a unique symbol of local culture. Michelle even admitted to being amazed by the boat-making process, which has become a tradition passed down through generations.

"Indeed, it has been passed down for generations to make it there, the place for cultivating pineapple trees and the wood for making pinisi boats is also there. So we really shot in Bulukumba," explained Michelle.
