Musical At Home Returns with Original Story 'GIVING BIRTH IN THE GRAVE' with the Sundanese Theater Group Miss Tjitjih

The latest episode of this program, which always brings folk tales and urban legends from various regions in Indonesia and involves various theater directors, film directors, cinematographers, music directors, as well as Indonesian actors, actresses, and dancers, will feature the original story “Beranak Dalam Kubur” (Born in the Grave) divided into 3 episodes and can be watched on November 6, 7, and 8, 2023 at 7:00 PM WIB.

In the latest episode of #MusikalDiRumahAja: Beranak Dalam Kubur, we collaborate with the legendary theater group, Miss Tjitjih who has been performing and entertaining art enthusiasts for almost a century. This group, which always presents stories with various themes, has also written and performed stories adapted into films such as ‘BERANAK DALAM KUBUR’ (Born in the Grave), ‘SI MANIS JEMBATAN ANCOL’ (Sweetheart of Ancol Bridge), and many more.

The Sundanese Theater Group Miss Tjitjih is a theater group from Sumedang, West Java. Established in 1928, Miss Tjitjih often presents various story themes such as folklore, struggle stories, romance, comedy, and horror. In its 95-year journey in the world of performing arts, many of Miss Tjitjih's theater stories have been adapted into films.

Elly Herawati from the Sundanese Theater Group Miss Tjitjih revealed, "Collaborating with www.indonesiakaya.com and BOOW Live to present the latest episode of #MusicalAtHome has been a touching experience for us, because at our age of almost 1 century, we are still creating and performing for art enthusiasts. This collaboration is also one of our efforts to reach art enthusiasts from various regions and provide a platform for us to be creative and express our creativity in a new format," said Elly.

In addition to Kelompok Sandiwara Sunda Miss Tjitjih, #MusikalDiRumahAja: Beranak Dalam Kubur also features Bayu Reswandha as Jayeng Pati, Raka Rahayudin as Jayeng Rasa, Ulan Laumi as Ratnasi, Sri Ayu Winati as Wulandari, Rahma as Sekarwati, Dina C F as Mbah Dukun/Kunti, and Aditya Restu Faturahman as Jayeng Kusuma.

Furthermore, this film also involves many other parties such as Virlan Wana Langgong as Co-Director of the Film, Wishnu Dewanta as Music Director, Fia Cinte and Imam Mapaso as Line Producers, Kubil Alonso as Assistant Director of Film 1, Putri Indam Kamila as Assistant Theater Director, and Ayu G as Choreographer.

The story of 'GIVING BIRTH IN THE GRAVE' is the latest production in the #MusikalDiRumahAja program in 2023. In addition to this, Indonesia Kaya also presents two new stories of #MusikalDiRumahAja: Ibu, which has been airing since October 22, 2023, and will take art enthusiasts to the West Java region during the Dutch colonial era with the story of a woman named Atikah.

Furthermore, there is also #MusikalDiRumahAja: Karaeng Pattingalloang which can be watched starting from October 29, 2023 at 19.00 WIB. This production in the form of a musical dance drama tells the story of Karaeng Pattingalloang from Makassar, South Sulawesi, who is a renowned intellectual figure known by Europeans from port cities in the Spice Route of the Archipelago.
