National Film Day, Angga Yunanda Invites Audiences Back to the Cinema and Stop Piracy

Actor Angga Yunanda greets fans again through his latest film, PARA PERASUK. In this film, Angga plays a character named Bayu, who is one of the central figures. The promotional moment for this film feels even more special as it coincides with the commemoration of National Film Day, which falls on March 30.

For Angga, this year is a very important time for Indonesia's creative industry. He feels that the film PARA PERASUK comes as a new breakthrough that offers a different color for audiences. According to him, this film is not just an ordinary spectacle, but a work that combines various elements of art. Here are the details.

Angga emphasizes that this film is the result of collective hard work involving many artists from various fields. He hopes the audience can feel the maximum audio-visual experience by watching it directly in theaters when it releases on April 23.

"In my opinion, this is a special year, because we can celebrate cinema together with PARA PERASUK. And this can also be considered a new way for the audience to see what Indonesian cinema is like," said Angga Yunanda when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Monday (30/3/2026).

"A new color that I think is very fresh, really refreshing, something that you rarely watch before and this is definitely a collective work of many people, and from many, yes, other sub-arts as well, not just from film but maybe for friends working in the music industry or perhaps dance, the dance industry too, they can experience it together. We’re having fun in the cinema," he added.

In addition to promoting his film, Angga also took the opportunity of National Film Day to voice his concerns about piracy issues. He firmly urged the public to appreciate the works of the nation's children by watching through official and legal channels.

"There definitely shouldn't be any piracy anymore. Wow, that's a consensus. True. And watching a movie must be in the cinema first, of course. And I always remind that if possible, don’t watch alone. Who knows, if you invite friends, if alone it’s okay too, who knows you might find a soulmate in the cinema," said the husband of Shenina Cinnamon.

Furthermore, Angga explained that the experience of watching on the big screen provides a sensation that cannot be replaced by gadgets or television screens at home. He wants the culture of watching in cinemas to be preserved as the highest form of appreciation for film works.

"Yes, but what I can say is at least set aside some time to watch it in the cinema because the experience will be very different if you watch it in the cinema. So it has to be in the cinema, there's no other place," he concluded.
