This film produced by MD Pictures in collaboration with Umbara Brothers Films invites the audience to follow the story of a group of content creators who dare to chase sensations in an abandoned hospital in South Korea.

Initially, their mission seems simple. The group named Para Pencari Hantu wants to make history by reaching three million viewers through a live broadcast. However, everything changes when they enter Room 402, a location that holds dark secrets and brings unexpected terror.

1. An Adaptation That Still Provides New Surprises

Although inspired by the film Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, Anggy Umbara ensures that the audience will not have the same experience. The director presents the story with a different approach, including incorporating local mystical elements such as the jelangkung ritual combined with conflicts between characters.

These changes make the storyline develop in a completely new direction. Viewers who feel they are already familiar with the horror patterns of the original film will actually find many surprises, including plot twists that change the entire story towards the end of the film.

2. Anggy Umbara Prepares for More Extreme Production

In order to create a more realistic viewing experience, Anggy Umbara even designed a special camera rig weighing around five kilograms that must be used by the actors during the shooting process. This method was chosen so that each scene feels more intense while providing the sensation as if the audience is also present at the haunted location.

"This is the first time I have to create a camera rig for each actor during shooting. We all prepared it ourselves because I believe we need to put in extra effort for this film. As a result, for me, this is Anggy Umbara's scariest film!" Anggy asserted.

This effort turned out to successfully attract the attention of filmmakers and guests present at the gala premiere. Many of them admitted to being surprised by the tense atmosphere as well as the unpredictable storyline.

Director Kimo Stamboel stated, "In my opinion, this film is one of Anggy Umbara's best works, I really like it and this is something you absolutely must watch in theaters."

Content creator Alex Boboholokal also admitted to being scared despite having already watched the original film. "While watching, I covered my ears. I had already watched the original Gonjiam, but it turned out to be very different. I thought I would know the spots that would have jumpscares, but I still felt scared and surprised."

Meanwhile, actress Dinda Kanya Dewi highlighted the many shocking scenes throughout the film. "There are so many kamcagiya (surprising) moments, a lot of shocking moments."

3. Live Streaming Mission Turns into Deadly Terror

The film's story follows the journey of Ghost Hunters entering Yong Won Hospital in pursuit of popularity. They believe that this location will become the biggest content they have ever created.

Unfortunately, the decision to enter Room 402 awakens a mysterious force that begins to terrorize each member of the team one by one. The camera, originally used for live streaming, becomes a witness to various terrifying events that are difficult to explain with logic.

This film stars Arbani Yasiz, Saputra Kori, Elang El Gibran, Diandra Agatha, Lea Ciarachel, Jang Hansol, and Aylena Fusil, which makes the chilling atmosphere feel even more real.
