Kapanlagi.com - Becoming the opening Indonesian action film of the year, BEN & JODY, which was released widely on Thursday (27/01), received various positive comments. The film, directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko and starring Chicco Jerikho (as Ben) and Rio Dewanto (Jody), is said to be a full-scale action film of large production.
These positive comments came not only from the general audience, but also from friends and artists who have watched the film.
Being the figure behind the IP (intellectual property) of Filosofi Kopi which became the basis of the characters in BEN & JODY, Dewi Lestari revealed that, "BEN & JODY is a friendship film with the best bromance chemistry between Ben and Jody."

Commenting on their action film, the couple Iko Uwais (actor) and Audy Item (singer) said BEN & JODY is a complete action film.
"BEN & JODY is really exciting beyond expectations, everything is complete. There are bows and arrows, guns, knives, and the fighting choreography is quite detailed!” they explained.
Encouraging to watch BEN & JODY in theaters to get the best watching experience, senior Indonesian director Hanung Bramantyo said the film must be watched.
“Good photography arrangement, detailed fighting choreography, for me, this (BEN & JODY) is worth watching in theaters,” Hanung said.
Not to be left behind, actors Tara Basro and Daniel Adnan also shared their impressions after watching. “The film BEN & JODY makes us nervous and very emotional!” said Tara and Daniel.
The film BEN & JODY offers a new adventure for Ben and Jody with the action genre. This time, the characters played by Chicco Jerikho (Ben) and Rio Dewanto (Jody) will face a life-and-death situation they never imagined.
It is told that since leaving Filosofi Kopi, Ben, who is now actively defending farmers against companies, has disappeared. Jody, as his loyal friend, searches for Ben's whereabouts.
During this journey, they both confront a gang of wild loggers led by Tubir (Yayan Ruhian). Eventually, Ben and Jody's encounter with the indigenous village group reopens their opportunity to fight. True friends, friends until death.
