Portrait of Adinda Thomas as a Creepy Woman in 'SATANIC SETTLEMENT', Challenged to Do This!

Adinda Thomas stars in a horror film titled SATANIC SETTLEMENT directed by Charles Gozali. Interestingly, this time she portrays a creepy woman character named Sukma.

Once she was declared to have passed the casting, Adinda was asked to find a unique and strange laughter to bring Sukma's character to life.

It took several attempts before Charles felt satisfied.

"I know Adinda has good abilities. So I said, 'Convince me that you are Sukma through your laughter'," said Charles when met at Epicentrum XXI, Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, on Friday (19/1/2024).

"But it was rejected. The first rejection made me more determined to find, the second rejection worried that they didn't want it, the third rejection was it still not serious enough? When I wanted to show the fourth laughter, Mr. Charles said 'Let's try it during the take (scene)'. So during the take, he was okay with that laughter," continued Adinda.

In addition to the strange laughter, Adinda Thomas made special body movements and learned Javanese language to bring Sukma's character to life.

After shooting, she spoke with a Javanese accent for several days.

"I spoke with a slight Javanese accent after finishing shooting. Because I practiced the letter 'D', it was really taken care of because at first it sounded artificial. So I practiced every time there was a word with the letter 'D'. That's what made me speak that way," added Adinda.

Portraying a terrifying woman, Adinda Thomas is actually grateful to Charles Gozali. Because this is a challenge for her as an actor.

"Honestly, I'm really happy to get the character Sukma. Because for the first time playing a character with no acting limitations, the range is wide, and the control on location is also freed in some scenes," said Adinda.
