Reza Rahadian surprises again after directing the film Pangku. A sweet achievement colors the peak night of the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) 2025 held at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (20/11/2025). This top Indonesian actor proves once again that his talent in the world of cinema knows no bounds.

Usually a regular on stage as the best actor, this time the man born in 1987 brought home an award for his writing skills.

Reza Rahadian and his partner, Felix K. Nesi, were crowned as the winners of the Citra Cup for the Best Original Screenplay category through the film titled PANGKU. This beautiful collaboration between the experienced actor and the literary writer successfully produced a strong script that captivated the hearts of the jury members.

For the actor of Habibie & Ainun, this is the seventh Citra Cup that he has collected throughout his career. However, this trophy feels very special and different because it is Reza's first award as a screenwriter, rather than as a lead or supporting actor.

Felix K. Nesi, who accompanied Reza on stage, appeared full of gratitude. In his victory speech, he did not forget to express appreciation to all parties involved, especially to Reza, who has been an extraordinary collaborative partner in crafting the story.

Meanwhile, Reza Rahadian could not hide his pride. The 38-year-old actor feels honored to be alongside big names in the film industry in that nomination. He realizes that his competitors are senior filmmakers who have been his mentors in creating works.

"Being in the same category that includes my teachers such as Mas Hanung and Bang Joko," Reza stated in his speech.
