Starring Natasha Rizky and Citra Kirana, the film KEAJAIBAN AIR MATA WANITA Highlights the Strength of Women in Facing Difficulties

The movie KAMAWA is a family drama film adapted from a collection of real stories found in the Mega Best Seller book (500,000 copies) Rahasia Magnet Rezeki by Nasrullah.

The book contains many stories about hope, positivity, and the belief that behind every difficulty or disaster, there is always goodness.

“This film depicts the struggle and inner turmoil of a woman who suddenly becomes a single parent after her husband's death,” said Hanief Jerry, Producer of the movie KAMAWA and Dean of the Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ).

This film is directed by one of Indonesia's best directors, Indra Gunawan, and the screenplay is written by Freddy Aryanto. According to the plan, the film will start production on May 11 and is expected to be released before the end of 2024.

Film KAMAWA stars Citra Kirana (Ciki) and Rezky Aditya as the main female and male leads, as well as Natasha Rizky (Acha), senior actress Yessy Gusman, and Baby Zelvia as supporting female characters.

"The selection of actors in a film is one of the crucial stages. The selection of the cast in the film KAMAWA is not separate from the uniqueness possessed by each player," said Indra Gunawan, Director of the film KAMAWA.

"For example, Ciki. Besides being skilled in acting, Ciki has also proven herself to be a very tough and strong woman in facing various challenges in her life. So we believe that Ciki will embody the given role and be able to act with total dedication," continued Indra Gunawan.

Some unique things about this film are the friendship between Ciki and Acha, starting from their real-life friendship to playing together in a feature film. It is also the first time for Ciki as the main cast in a feature film alongside her husband, Rezky Aditya.

In addition, this film marks Caca's comeback after a long hiatus from acting, as well as the comeback of senior artists Yessy Gusman and Baby Zelvia, who were very popular among young people in the 80s.

"The Indonesian film industry is continuously advancing, as seen from the increasing number of films produced and the millions of viewers they attract. For the film KAMAWA, we are confident that it will be highly anticipated, not only because it is based on a Mega Best Seller book," said Dimas Luqman, the film's producer.
