It is told of a famous Wayang Puppet Master named Ki Mangun Suroto (Whani Darmawan) who is very ambitious to master ancient knowledge to enrich himself & live forever with human shadow puppets.
He recruits Citra (Celine Evangelista), who is the niece of Mbok Ning (Djenar Maesa Ayu), Ki Mangun Suroto's assistant, to become a puppeteer singer.
However, Citra is actually chosen to be the last sacrifice for the human shadow puppet!
