The Official Remake Version of 'THE WORLD OF THE MARRIED' Series Titled 'MENDUA' - Starring Adinia Wirasti and Chicco Jericho!

On (6/4), Disney+ Hotstar, BBC Studios, and Screenplay Films announced a special collaboration to bring the adaptation of the series DOCTOR FOSTER to audiences in Indonesia. Produced by Screenplay Films for Disney+ Hotstar, DOCTOR FOSTER tells the story of a successful doctor whose life is ruined after discovering her husband's affair.

This series will be adapted in Indonesia with the title MENDUA. Directed by Pritagita Arianegara, MENDUA will feature award-winning actress Adinia Wirasti as Dr. Sekar M. Atmajaya, Chicco Jerikho as her husband Ivan, and Tatjana Saphira as Bella.

Indonesia is one of the countries that has adapted DOCTOR FOSTER, a BAFTA award-winning series written and created by Mike Bartlett and produced by Drama Republic for BBC One.

Packaged in a series format of 8 episodes with a duration of 45 minutes, the Indonesian adaptation of this series is produced by Wicky V. Olindo (Gundala) along with Anthony Buncio as executive producer/showrunner, and Thaleb Wahjudi as co-producer. Written by Keke Mayang, Sinar Ayu Massie, and Dono Indarto, Mendua will soon be exclusively available on Disney+ Hotstar this year.

André Renaud, SVP Global Format Sales, BBC Studios revealed that Mike Bartlett and Drama Republic have created an extraordinary story and characters through DOCTOR FOSTER that has inspired customers to continue seeking new ways to deliver this story to local audiences.

Screenplay Films' interpretation of this series will bring new characters and approaches to the story, but will still focus on the same central theme of the series. André Renaud is confident that this series will appeal to Disney+ Hotstar audiences.
