2. Difference Between Series and Novel

Keke Mayang as the story editor explains that in this series there are several adjustments to the timing of the story's start that make the initial story a bit different because of the chosen cast.

"Like in other novel adaptation films, of course, we have some adjustments, especially since we chose the cast Haico and Yesaya. So if in the novel it starts from a younger age, but since we can't make them younger, Haico and Yesaya, we jump straight to the present time," said Keke Mayang.

In addition, the series THEO & RUZA is also packaged with an improvement in quality.

"As for what differentiates it, we previously had a series about a motorcycle gang, from that we learned a lot and improved the results for THEO & RUZA, so of course this will be something different and relatable to the community," continued Keke.

During the press conference, Yesaya Abraham shared his positive views on motorcycle gangs after he played the role of Theo in the series THEO & RUZA.

"Actually, after I saw the real motorcycle gang up close, because FYI during the promotion, we finally met with a real motorcycle gang. When I met them, people's perception of motorcycle gangs is negative, which is not entirely justified because what they do is gather and like to share takjil during Ramadan, and organize events with other young people," said Yesaya Abraham.

In addition, Yesaya also explained the implicit message in this series that motorcycle gangs are not just boys causing trouble, but they just want to find a place to tell their stories and a new family.

So it’s not always negative in my opinion, it’s not just hanging out, chilling, and sorry, if now there are many who are robbing. It turns out that it’s not like that, and from the story THEO & RUZA we want to convey that motorcycle gangs are not just boys who are newly pubescent, there are some kids whose family issues we don’t know about, they are just looking for a place to share but not to be judged. So kids like this can find a new family," continued Yesaya.

4. Synopsis and Screening

This romantic drama series tells the story of a man named Theo who is sent by the Killian motorcycle gang, the main rival of De Luc, to infiltrate and destroy them from within. This mission comes from Haley, a member of Killian who has a special relationship with Theo to ensure their plan goes smoothly.
To disguise his identity, Theo pretends to be a traveler from Surabaya who has no one. He quickly catches the attention of Hades, the leader of De Luc, who eventually accepts Theo into the gang and even offers him a place to stay in his own home.
However, as time goes by, the mission that initially seemed clear begins to blur due to unexpected events. Theo slowly falls in love with Ruza, Hades's sister.
