The animated film MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL has sparked controversy from the release of its trailer to its screening in theaters on August 14, 2025. This film, produced by Toto Soegriwo and directed by Bintang Takari & Endiarto, has been deemed unworthy of being shown on the big screen and requires significant improvements in many aspects.

Through her personal TikTok post @panggilajabillie_, the voice actor provided clarification from her personal perspective. She emphasized that she only served as the voice actor for the character in the film and was paid by the hour, without being involved in designing the character in the film.

She also expressed her surprise that her name was listed as 'character designer' in the credits of the film. She lamented this and stressed that her role was solely as a voice actor.

"I only provided the voice and was paid by the hour. My name is being dragged down guys, where it says I'm a character designer, even though I was really just the voice actor and the payment wasn't appropriate in my opinion," she said, reported by KapanLagi on Saturday (16/8/2025).

Initially, he thought that the movie would be shown on YouTube or a television station. He was shocked when the movie turned out to be screened in theaters.

"I also thought it would be displayed (aired) on television, but wow, it was shown in theaters, competing with Demon Slayer," he continued.

Not only the voice actor, director Endiarto also spoke up. He does not deny that the quality of his film may not be comparable to top-tier animated films. However, he emphasizes that the simple visual presentation was a deliberate choice from the beginning.

"I know, there are a lot of voices out there saying, 'The quality is bad, it's not worth it'. I emphasize, we just talked, we chose this film with the segment that we determined," said Endiarto when met in the Kuningan area on Monday (11/8/2025)
