Amy Adams - Glenn Close's Duet in 'HILLBILLY ELEGY' Targets the Oscar Awards

Kapanlagi.com - Netflix has just released a new trailer for HILLBILLY ELEGY, a film directed by Ron Howard. This film is an adaptation of J.D. Vance's Memoir and stars actors Amy Adams and Glenn Close as a mother and son in conflict.

This drama tells the story of an Appalachian family with various complicated problems. Vance (Gabriel Basso) is depicted as studying law, while his mother Bev (Adams) has a drug addiction.

The trailer shows the complex problems faced by this family. Starting from Vance's perspective on his drug-addicted mother, to Bev's troubled relationship with her own mother. They constantly argue between the child and his own mother, Mamaw (Close), who is characterized by thick glasses and curly wig hair.

This film is about a family that struggles to survive amidst the ups and downs of life. With their different struggles, it makes the storyline interesting with the plot that will be presented later.

The HILLBILLY ELEGY trailer itself is very interesting, as it is packaged to highlight the conflicting scenes between Close and Adams.

Previously, Glenn Close has been nominated for the Oscars 7 times. One of them was for Best Actress in the movie THE WIFE, but unfortunately Close has not been able to bring home the award. Amy Adams has also received many Oscar nominations, but has not yet been able to bring home the trophy.

Will one of them finally break the Oscar curse next year and bring home the Oscar award? Will both of them win? HILLBILLY ELEGY will be available for streaming on November 24th. Before being released on Netflix, the film will have a limited release in theaters as their move towards the Oscars.
