KlikFilm Collaboration with IFI! Presenting the French Cinema Festival 2023 themed 'Palme d'Or' - Screening 20 Films of Various Genres

This festival will take place in a hybrid format, with screenings in 14 cities in Indonesia and online on KlikFilm. This exciting event will take place from November 17 to 26, 2023, KLovers!

This year's French Cinema Festival carries the theme 'Palme d'Or', which is the highest award at the Cannes Film Festival. This theme was chosen to celebrate the diversity and creativity of French cinema, which has achieved international recognition.

Throughout the event, the festival will screen more than 20 French films of various genres in 14 cities across Indonesia. Not only that, 10 films will also be available for online streaming on the KlikFilm platform.

Mathilde Bureau, Coordinator of the French Cinema Festival, said that KlikFilm was very helpful in organizing this event.

"When signing the cooperation agreement with KlikFilm, we were given the entire catalog of French films owned by KlikFilm. This makes me excited to filter out new and fresh films to schedule during the event," said Mathilde Bureau in her written statement.

2. No Stating Conditions

Charlotte Esnou, as cultural and audiovisual cooperation attaché, added that KlikFilm never stated a condition that films must be shown at the Jakarta World Cinema Week before being shown at the French Film Festival.

"Very convenient," added Charlotte Esnou.

3. Discussion and Creative Workshop

In addition to presenting French films, this event will also feature discussions and creative workshops led by professionals from the French and Indonesian film industries. In addition, there will also be a retrospective to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the departure of Jean Pierre Melville, a French filmmaker who had a great influence on the history of cinema.
