MovieTalk 'OLAF PRESENTS', Classic Iconic Disney Stories for Short Film Enthusiasts

Olaf is back again, KLovers. After two FROZEN films and three short films, Olaf returns to greet animation enthusiasts. This time, he greets them through OLAF PRESENTS. Olaf comes back to retell iconic and classic Disney stories in his own way. 

"Being able to retell the films that accompanied my growth, especially since those films are the golden age of Disney animation, is a dream come true," said Josh Gad, the voice behind Olaf. He admitted that THE LITTLE MERMAID is one of the animated films that amazed him with its story, visuals, and songs. 

OLAF PRESENTS will feature Olaf in a cheerful style retelling the stories of Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Moana, or The Lion King.

Director Hyrum Osmond and screenwriter Jen Newfield worked on this short film series as freely as possible. "We were like playing in every process, from writing the script to recording sessions, to animating. We really enjoyed the freedom we got (from the studio)," said Jen. It was so free that there were some spontaneous scenes played by Josh Gad that were not included in the film.

Although monologuing in storytelling, Olaf is assisted by his friends in Arendelle.

When these iconic stories are condensed into just a few minutes, of course, OLAF PRESENTS only presents a few scenes. "Honestly, we weren't too burdened in the selection. We really had fun choosing the scenes to be shown," said Hyrum Osmond.

Josh Gad said Olaf was really having fun in this short film. "If in FROZEN he is like a child, while in FROZEN II he is like a teenager, then this time Olaf already knows what he is really like, a cheerful Olaf," he said. 

OLAF PRESENTS is available on Disney+ starting November 12th. For those of you who like short films under 10 minutes, OLAF PRESENTS could be the perfect treat.
