Star GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE Praises the Horror of IMPETIGORE

In an exclusive online interview with Paul Rudd (portraying Gary Grooberson) and Carrie Coon (portraying Callie), the actress revealed her love for watching Indonesian horror films. One that captivated her was IMPETIGORE (PEREMPUAN TANAH JAHANAM).

1. Call IMPETIGORE Very Terrifying

"Do you know a good Indonesian horror movie that was released a few years ago? The one about a girl trapped in a village? There were ghosts too, but I can't remember the title," Carrie asked. We immediately responded by mentioning the title IMPETIGORE.

"Yes, that's right. IMPETIGORE. It's really good. Very terrifying," Carrie said firmly.

IMPETIGORE is the international title for PEREMPUAN TANAH JAHANAM, a film directed by Joko Anwar. This horror film was released in 2019. It tells the story of Maya (Tara Basro) and Dini (Marissa Anita), two friends who dare to go to a remote village in search of an inheritance that could change their lives.

Little did they know, the village they visited was no ordinary village. There were dark and terrifying secrets hidden there. Anyone who tries to uncover its mystery.

2. Surprised by the Horror Presented

Carrie tells how she was shocked when she first watched the film with her husband.

"Wow Indonesia. There are many interesting things happening in this film," she exclaimed.

For those who have never watched IMPETIGORE, this film presents complete horror. Starting from the village setting that makes your hair stand on end, convincing acting from the cast, to slasher scenes that can make the audience scream.

3. Carrie Ends Up Having IMPETIGORE DVD

"I haven't watched it yet," interrupted Paul, who was then immediately offered by Carrie. The actress, who also played brilliantly in GONE GIRL, immediately offered her DVD to be borrowed by Paul.

"You have to watch it, I have the DVD at home," Carrie teased.

"Hahaha. Great, okay, I will borrow it later," joked Paul.

Paul and Carie starred in FROZEN EMPIRE as the duo Gary and Callie, whose meeting in Summerville (Setting in GHOSTBUSTERS AFTERLIFE) was already colored by the appearance of ghosts.

Gary is portrayed as a teacher specializing in seismology. While Callie is the child of one of the early Ghostbusters members, Egon Spengler.

4. Synopsis GHOSTBUSTERS FROZEN EMPIRE

GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE will tell the story of the Spengler family returning to where it all began, the iconic firehouse in New York City. The Spengler family encounters the original Ghostbusters, who have apparently developed a secret research laboratory.

With the existence of this laboratory, they aim to take ghostbusting to the next level. However, when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes evil powers, it triggers a severe freeze all over New York and even the world.

The new and old Ghostbusters must work together to protect their home and save the world from the Second Ice Age. This latest installment will also feature an epic collaboration between the Spengler family and the original Ghostbusters.
