BANGKOK BREAKING: HEAVEN AND HELL is a new action-thriller film directed by Kome Kongkiat Komesiri, a renowned director who recently succeeded with his feature film, OPERATION UNDEAD. 

This film, which premiered on Netflix on September 26, 2024, tells the story of a former medical officer facing a criminal network in the heart of Bangkok.

As a spin-off of the series BANGKOK BREAKING (2021), this film presents various thrilling action scenes, including chases, shootouts, and explosions, making it an interesting choice for thriller genre fans. 

Starring renowned actors such as Sukollawat Kanaros, Atitaya Tribudarak, Sanya Kunakorn, and Day Thaitanium, this film offers realistic visual presentations, showcasing the harsh and slum background of the Ruamjai community, which witnesses the emotional and physical struggles of the main character. 

Although focused on action and tension, BANGKOK BREAKING: HEAVEN AND HELL also carefully depicts the social inequalities occurring in Bangkok, as well as the brutal realities of life hidden behind the grandeur of the city.

At the beginning of the story, we are introduced to Wanchai (played by Sukollawat Kanaros), an ambulance paramedic who has now switched professions to become a courier. Nightmares about his colleague who suffered severe burns continue to haunt and disturb his life.

Everything changes when Wanchai gets caught up in the kidnapping of a young girl in a parking area. He is forced to get involved in a dangerous situation to save the girl from the criminal gang that controls the city.

During his mission, Wanchai meets Meiji (Atitaya Tribudarak), a nurse who has just entered the medical field and accidentally gets caught up in a chaotic situation. Meiji becomes Wanchai's partner in this rescue mission and collaborates to face the increasingly dangerous circumstances.

The kidnapping action takes them to the Ruamjai Housing Project, presented realistically and full of tension. In the story, this environment reflects social inequality and harsh living conditions where the poor struggle against power intrigues and criminality.

The story of Wanchai and Meiji is filled with intense action scenes, including car chases, explosions, and shootouts. The film features impressive visuals, such as black-and-white flashback effects with red to depict blood, which certainly creates a dramatic atmosphere.

Wanchai and Meiji also have to face a psychopathic gang leader and a corrupt police chief. These two characters symbolize the rampant injustice in Ruamjai.

The film not only presents action but also explores the dark side of life in a big city. Social inequality and the hidden motives of the rulers are clearly depicted, showing how power is often abused for personal gain.
