BEFORE I FALL tells the story of a teenage girl named Samantha Kingston who has a perfect life. She also has many friends and is popular at school. In addition, Samantha already has a boyfriend named Rob Cokran. One day, there is a party called Cupid's Day. Samantha is picked up by her friends, Lindsay, Ally, and Elody. Upon arrival, they enjoy the party. However, the party suddenly becomes chaotic when one of Samantha's friends, Lindsay, gets into a fight with a girl named Juliet. Lindsay mocks Juliet and makes Juliet leave feeling sad.

It's time to go home, Samantha leaves with her friends. However, the car they are in hits something and an accident occurs that takes the lives of Samantha and her friends. The story then continues when Samantha wakes up on February 12th, just before the accident happened. She thought it was just a nightmare until Samantha realized that she was trapped in a time loop. While repeating events before the accident, she realizes that she shouldn't be reckless because every choice she makes affects those around her.
