Zhong Wen is known as a senior police officer from China who has spent much of his life on the job, while his daughter Miao Miao grew up with a quiet disposition. This difference has made their relationship quite distant for a long time.
As Miao Miao grew into adulthood, Zhong Wen tried to reconnect in order to improve his relationship with his daughter. However, this effort did not go smoothly and instead sparked new arguments.
In his efforts to get to know his daughter's life better, Zhong Wen discovers that Miao Miao already has a boyfriend. Her boyfriend is named Wu Jiang, a nightclub owner who is quite influential.
Zhong Wen immediately opposes the relationship because he does not like Wu Jiang. This disagreement leads to a fierce argument with Miao Miao and worsens their father-daughter relationship even further.
