Thunderbolts Officially Becomes New Avengers in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY

At the end of the film, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Val) surprisingly declares that this "rowdy" team is the New Avengers. They even now have their headquarters in the old Avengers Tower in New York!

This definitely raises the stakes; as reported by Screen Rant, in a leaked scene from the post-credit, Sam Wilson appears to be upset that the name Avengers is being used by this government-formed team. Imagine, there are two teams of Avengers operating simultaneously but with different principles. This team consists of people who are not afraid to play dirty to complete their missions.

If Sam Wilson's Avengers are the "Good Kids" team, then this New Avengers team is the "Bad Boys & Girls" team. They were initially formed by Val to replace the Avengers, but instead found their own identity after saving New York. Supported by the government and Val, they have access to unlimited resources, and may attract other heroes like War Machine or the Defenders to join their ranks.

2. Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova

This younger sister of Natasha Romanoff is the heart of the team. Yelena has top-notch assassin skills like Black Widow but with a quirky sense of humor. Yelena isn't afraid to do the dirty work that the Avengers team led by Sam Wilson might not dare to do.

3. Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes

This former Winter Soldier is now the field leader of the New Avengers. Bucky brings decades of combat experience and his iconic vibranium arm. It's quite ironic, isn't it, KLovers, that Steve Rogers' best friend ended up being the leader of the rival team succeeding Steve?

4. David Harbour as Red Guardian

Yelena's adoptive father finally feels like his own version of "Captain America." Alexei Shostakov may seem silly, but his physical strength cannot be underestimated. He is the tank of this team, always ready to take the hit.

5. Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent/John Walker

John Walker is back in action! After failing to become Captain America, he finds a place where his aggressive nature is actually valued. He is the brutal version of Cap, carrying a shield and ready to take down anyone who stands in the way of their mission.

6. Lewis Pullman as Sentry (Bob)

Here is the deadliest secret weapon. Bob aka Sentry has powers equivalent to one million solar explosions. He is a powerhouse that can change the tide of battle in an instant. But be careful, his mental stability is always a ticking time bomb.

7. Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost

A ghost spy who can phase through walls and is invisible. Ava Starr provides an extraordinary tactical advantage for the New Avengers in terms of infiltration and sabotage. The enemies won’t know what is attacking them.
