Kapanlagi.com - The latest news comes from the Marvel cinematic universe. President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, officially confirmed that Marvel will take a big step after the film AVENGERS: SECRET WARS is released in 2027.
In this new phase, he revealed that several iconic characters such as Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and the X-Men will be played by new actors. This move has sparked a lot of reactions from fans, considering that the role of Tony Stark has been so closely associated with Robert Downey Jr.
Meanwhile, Steve Rogers is synonymous with actor Chris Evans. Nevertheless, Marvel sees this renewal as part of a new beginning, not just a reboot. He plans to introduce a fresher version of these major characters through the multiverse and the unification of timelines after the events of Secret Wars. For more details, check here KLovers.

Kevin Feige, in an interview with Variety and several media outlets, revealed that after the film AVENGERS: SECRET WARS is released in 2027, there are plans to start a new phase. This includes replacing the lineup of different actors for iconic characters that have been known to their loyal fans. Yes, the characters Iron Man (Tony Stark), Captain America (Steve Rogers), and X-Men will be replaced by new actors. However, in the latest films AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY (2026) and AVENGERS: SECRET WARS (2027), the cast will still feature the old actors.
"Endgame, literally, is about the end. 'Secret Wars' is about the beginning." said Kevin Feige in an interview via Variety as reported by Hypebeast.
Although several old actors like Patrick Stewart and James Marsden will return in the film AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY (2026), they will not star in future X-MEN projects. This film is said to feature new stars while still maintaining the essence of the previous characters.
"We are leveraging [the story] not just to wrap up the narratives we've told post-'Endgame,' which is equally important, and you can look at the comic 'Secret Wars' to see where it's headed, it will truly be a setup for the future," said Kevin Feige via Variety.

Kevin Feige also revealed that replacing iconic actors who have portrayed characters in Marvel is indeed not easy. Moreover, their roles have truly left a mark on fans' hearts, making them hard to replace.
It is undeniable that Kevin acknowledges that replacing Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans is not an easy task. However, just like the characters James Bond and Superman who continue to evolve with new actors, Marvel will also do the same. Nevertheless, the identities of those who will replace them have not been detailed by the Marvel President.
