10 Photos of JO1 Revealing Their First Feelings Performing in Indonesia, and Admitting They Want to See Paddy Fields

JO1 consists of 11 members who were formed through the largest audition program in Japan, PRODUCE 101 JAPAN. They are Kinjo Sukai, Kawanishi Takumi, Kimata Syoya, Ohira Shosei, Tsurubo Shion, Kono Junki, Kawashiri Ren, Yonashiro Sho, Mamehara Issei, Shiroiwa Ruki, Sato Keigo.

Because they debuted during Covid-19, JO1 could only hold their concert now. "In 2020, there was a pandemic worldwide. So JO1's activities couldn't be done, but now they can finally tour in Asia. They are very happy, especially to receive support from JAM," said Kinjo Sukai.

Shiroiwa Ruki also explained the meaning of their fans' name, which is JAM, an abbreviation for JO1 and Me. "For two years, we couldn't do any activities because of the corona, but thanks to JAM's support, we can finally resume our activities and meet fans worldwide. I love JAM from the bottom of my heart," he said.

Meanwhile, Kono Junki also hopes to gain more fans through this concert. "This is our first time in Indonesia. We also feel that JAM is still few. But, we hope to gain more JAM (through the concert) to support us," he said.

Although a little nervous because it's their first concert in Jakarta. But they are very excited. "This is our first concert in Jakarta. We are very excited and a little nervous. But this is the beginning to be known worldwide," said Yonashiro Sho.

"Want to express the deepest gratitude from the heart to the JAMs in Indonesia. With their support, we can be like this. We will be enthusiastic," continued Kimata Syoya.

They have also tried various Indonesian dishes. Tsurubo Shion admitted to liking spicy seasoned fish, although he forgot the name of the food. "Yesterday I ate, don't know the name, ate spicy fish. Trying to eat fried or grilled fish with spicy seasoning," he said.

Funny when asked where in Indonesia he would like to visit, Tsurubo Shion answered that he wants to see rice fields. "I really want to see rice fields," he said with a smile.

Meanwhile, Mamehara Issei also admitted that he wants to collaborate with Indonesian singers and singers from other countries. "I also want to make Indonesian songs. I want to collaborate with Indonesian artists and also artists from other foreign countries. I really want JO1 to collaborate with many countries," he said.

After Jakarta, JO1 will visit other Asian cities such as Bangkok, Taipei, and Shanghai. They also hope to hold a world concert tour. "Our dream is also to have a world concert tour. We will work harder. Please wait for us," said Ohira Shosei.
