10 Portraits of Press Conference Drama QUEEN OF TEARS, Kim Soo Hyun's Comeback After 3 Years - Kim Ji Won's Beauty Attracts Attention

The cast of 'QUEEN OF TEARS' accompanied by directors Jang Young Woo and Kim Hee Won appeared simple and elegant in black dress code at this press conference.

Kim Ji Won immediately caught attention with the striking white accent on her dress. Meanwhile, Kwak Dong Yeon showcased a casual impression with a navy loose-fit jacket.

'QUEEN OF TEARS' marks Kim Soo Hyun's comeback to the small screen after three years. As known, his last role was as the protagonist in 'IT'S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY' which aired in 2020.

During the Q&A session, Kim Soo Hyun stated that he tried to take on a role that he had never played before through 'QUEEN OF TEARS'.

"This is not only the first time I portray a married couple, but also the first time I play the role of a brother-in-law. I want to experience and express it through my role as (Baek Hyun Woo)," said Kim Soo Hyun.

"I want to make the audience laugh and cry by portraying the various charms that Baek Hyun Woo possesses, such as intelligence and awkwardness," he added.

This 16-episode drama series is written by screenwriter Park Ji Eun, known for hit dramas like 'MY LOVE FROM THE STAR' and 'CRASH LANDING ON YOU'.

Interestingly, 'QUEEN OF TEARS' is the third collaboration between Kim Soo Hyun and screenwriter Park Ji Eun. They have previously worked together in the series 'MY LOVE FROM THE STAR' and 'THE PRODUCERS'.

'QUEEN OF TEARS' follows Baek Hyun Woo (played by Kim Soo Hyun), the son of a supermarket owner from the countryside, and his wife Hong Hae In (played by Kim Ji Won), the eldest daughter of a conglomerate family.
