1. Park Yoochun Former JYJ

In 2019, Park Yoochun decided to retire from the Korean entertainment industry after being involved in numerous scandals, such as the use of illegal drugs and sexual harassment.

The former JYJ member made a surprising statement, stating that he intends to return to the entertainment world as a public figure in 2020. One of his efforts is to release a photobook titled 'Someday Park Yu Chun: A Collection of Photographs'.

Instead of receiving a warm welcome from fans, Yoochun was heavily criticized by Korean netizens. The public believes that Yoochun should remain retired from the entertainment industry as a consequence of his involvement in multiple scandals that have tarnished Korea's image.

2. Sunye Former Wonder Girls

In 2007, Sunye debuted as the leader of Wonder Girls. The girl group under JYP Entertainment achieved great success, even in the United States.

Unfortunately, a surprising statement came from Sunye, who suddenly decided to leave Wonder Girls in 2012. It was revealed that Sunye chose to leave Wonder Girls because she was going to marry James Park. She decided to move to Canada with her husband.

However, Sunye's decision at that time received sharp criticism from fans and Korean netizens, as she left Wonder Girls before her contract expired. As a result, many considered Sunye a traitor and selfish.

Since then, Sunye's name has not been heard in the Korean entertainment industry. Korean netizens believe that she has retired as a public figure. However, in 2018, it was known that Sunye collaborated with Polaris Entertainment and expressed her desire to return as a celebrity.

Spontaneously, her decision immediately sparked sharp criticism and rejection from netizens in the Land of Ginseng.

3. T.O.P BIGBANG

T.O.P BIGBANG has never explicitly stated his retirement from the entertainment world. However, the scandal he was involved in back in 2017 seems to still anger the South Korean public.

As known, T.O.P was involved in a marijuana scandal with Han Seo Hee. Because of this scandal, T.O.P received a bad image in the eyes of Korean netizens.

In 2019, T.O.P received harsh comments from a Korean netizen who asked him not to return to the entertainment world in South Korea, when he uploaded a post on Instagram.

Surprisingly, T.O.P casually replied to the comment, stating that he is not yet interested in returning to the entertainment world. However, in 2020, YG Entertainment announced that BIGBANG will renew their contract and plan for a comeback.

Once again, Korean netizens criticized T.O.P's decision as it contradicted his previous statement of not being interested in returning to the entertainment world.
